Hi! I'm Martin Smith - welcome
to my website. I'm a guitarist (first and foremost), a singer and a songwriter.
My influences are diverse and I love to play different
styles. However my greatest passion is for the blues. That
encompasses blues in all it's wonderful and diverse forms -
roots, jazz, rock, soul etc.
I work as a solo blues
artist (with or without my backing band, THE RED HOUSE BLUES
BAND). I also front the rock band SKYHUNTER. I also take on
deps and session work.

information about my current musical projects, listen to
sample tracks, get information about gigs, leave comments,
contact me etc.
I take a limited number
of pupils for guitar and singing lessons. You can enquire
about these through the contact details on this site.
I also call on my
background in both the performing arts and in the business
world (I'm an ex-management consultant with an MBA) to
provide creativity coaching and facilitation services.

Songwriting
I'm fairly new to the art of songwriting - I started in
2006. However, I've been quite prolific since then. You can
